QUAOAR

Ephemeris

four options
Quaoar and outer planet orbits

Four options are now available for a Quaoar ephemeris. Pick the one which suits your requirements the best. Retrogrades and stations are not indicated in any of the ephemerides, so you'll have to be eagle-eyed to identify and note them yourself. Note that no retrogrades are to be found in the Option Two ephemeris.

[Thanks to Wendy Guy for pointing out the zip files below had become corrupted over time. They are now replaced with functional new ones. Gr-r-r-r, darned internet gremlins.]

Option One:

The very first Quaoar ephemeris. It covers the years 1900-2036.  Less than a day after Quaoar's discovery was announced on Oct. 7, 2002, the amazing Swiss Ephemeris people had calculated a 10-day astrological ephemeris for Quaoar. While the math is up to the SE's usual high standards, the ephemeris badly needed some reformatting for us mere mortals to use on our home computers. Click here for the ASCII version I reformatted which you can click to save to your hard drive, open in your Windows notebook, send to your word processor, etc. Must have for serious students of astrology. This is still the handiest ephemeris for a quick reference.

Option Two:

A quick, 366-day annual ephemeris of Quaoar for the years 650 C.E. to 2103 C.E., which I extracted from the Riyal software. Read from your browser or open in your Windows notebook, MS word, or whichever other word processing software you choose. Designed for those wanting a quick long-term over view of Quaoar. Note that retrogrades are not discernable. Click here to view.

Option Three:

The detailed companion to Option Two above. A ten-day ephemeris of Quaoar for the years 650 C.E. to 2103 C.E., also extracted from the Riyal software. This ephemeris is available for free download as a 257 KB zip file. Use WinZip or an equivalent utility to unzip this file on your hard drive. It expands to a 1.2 MB ascii file which can be opened in your Windows notebook, MS word, or whichever other word processing software you choose. Designed for the serious astrological researcher. Retrogrades are discernable. Click here to download.

Option Four:

Daily ephemeris for 1800 - 2100. Another Quaoar ephemeris extracted from the Riyal software (it took a few hours). This ephemeris is available for free download as a 472 KB zip file. Use WinZip or an equivalent utility to unzip this file on your hard drive. It expands into three ascii files, each about 800 KB in size (one file for each century), which can be opened in your Windows notebook, MS word, or whichever other word processing software you choose. Designed for the detail-oriented who need a daily fix of Quaoar in the modern world. Click here to download.

Option Five:

Can't make up your mind? Then try this one big zip file, which contains all of the Quaoar ephemerides mentioned above. For those of you on dialup, it's 681 KB to download, but much bigger unzipped. Click here to download.
