Still, I would not minimize what we have experienced in the period of Pluto's "reign", which can be considered to be most of the 20th century. Pluto, or rather what it represents, empowers us upon the attributes of Neptune (the psychic or "virtual" or deep reality) and I hope that "Xena" also does on those of Uranus (the social or dialectical dimension).
As I see it, Pluto, together with Mars, has the attribute of building up (or conquering, if you prefer a more martial metaphore). The Martian stuff mediates between the abstract knowldege of the Jovian area and the enjoyement of the Venusian one. Between the plan and the achievement, there is action - and that's Martian and Plutonian in nature.
At least that's my opinion.
